Community Workgroups to Support Enrollment Equity
Oakland Unified School District formed a community workgroup to evaluate their enrollment practices and recommend strategies to improve enrollment equity. This project involved a several approaches to analyze existing inequities and collect feedback from the community to identify areas of agreement for moving forward. Approaches included a 4,000-member survey, independently created data analysis, and a series of focus groups with under-represented communities to go deeper on current state challenges.
