Case Study on Socioeconomic Integration Strategies

Oakland is convened a community workgroup focused on increasing enrollment equity in their city. The group invited me to speak about integration strategies that were piloted and implemented in Denver Public Schools to increase diversity, particularly at affluent schools. This case study walks through several of those initiatives while trying to honestly assess the elements that creative positive change as well as the limitations and risks of each strategy. Given the sensitive nature of this work, I hope this case study offers a balanced perspective on different approaches.
