Capital Planning for Public Election Funding
I joined DPS in 2011 to project manage the 2012 bond and mill levy planning processes. This involved coordinating and conducting research and analyses on various academic investment requests, including early childhood education, math interventions, enrichment programs, and classroom technology and curriculum. Additionally, I coordinated facility assessments and long-term enrollment planning to create the 2016 Capacity Plan used to identify new capacity and maintenance needs. DPS gained more than 60% of vote that led to more than $500M of capital investment and $50M of annual operating investment.
For the 2016 bond, I played a lead content expertise role to create the 2020 Capacity Plan to meet the growth needs of the fastest-growing urban district in the country. DPS again gained more than 60% of the vote that allowed for a capital investment of more than $600M.
